I really love how warm and close their – Alice and Laurence’s – relationship is, and especially how well it is conveyed in these few pages! Very emotional panels, even though the reader knows more than they do.
(Silent follower opening her mouth, finally. Keep up the good work!)
Recall that the public story of Schtein is that he’s dead. He died in the explosion, total cover story. It’s a whole lot easier to lock a man away for life if he’s dead on paper. Nobody goes around lookin’ for a dead man.
wow. it actually looks like an actual uncle/niece relationship. …. … in regards to the story… She seems to have an unrealistic portrait of her Dad at the moment. I wonder what their past relationship was like. Their phone conversation hinted at an almost dismissive awkward stance.
I was going to but unfortunately my room and I share the cat and, in the end, she snuck the collar while I was working and I am poor. SHE WILL WIN THIS ROUND….
I still don’t know if he knows WHO Alice’s dad IS. He knows who Schtein is (he roomed with him), and he killed his lawyer and deleted his call (I’m guessing someone told him to do it) to cover up evidence of his existence… but did he make the connection? Is he just a really good actor playing the “concerned family” bit?
I would probably say that he does, assuming Janice would tell him. He is her brother, after all. It would also explain how he knew that ‘whatever he was into is his fault’. But it’s a good question.
It’d really surprise me if he didn’t know Schtein is her dad. If your sister’s kid looks just like your old college roommate who married your sister, it’s probably him.
How tragic for her :( I still have no clue who’s side the one-eyed dude is on, and whether or not he has a clue Alice is Schtein’s kid, but he can be sweet. I look forward to more Alice!
Is anyone else getting Oliver and Company from that big car? With just the hand in it? I’m expecting Lawrence to run over there and get smoke blown in his face from a cigar.
First! Sad patio, sad lawn.
the porch isn’t that sad. It just needs some new paint and a good power washing.
As much as my instincts tell me not to like this guy . . . I really like this guy.
Your instincts tell you not to like a guy with an eyepatch and a scar? That’s smells like… prejudice?
It’s probably more the connection to murder telling her not to like him. Hahah.
When you go out, I sit in your bed eating crackers…..
but anyways I trust one eyed people! They have fun depth perception!
Impossible. I never go out.
You have to leave sometime! XD
I can attest to the truism of this statement. She never goes out. EVAR! ;-)
Murder Schmurder… ;-)
Looks like they might have a grub problem, too. Some light pesticides might be in order!
Lawrence is the best :X
buh I love every character
*Laurence
(I am the worst)
it’s okay, it’s an easy mistake.
“He’s dead! Gotta go! Feed my fish! I’m going to the Insensitive convention!!” No just kidding Lol!

He’s dead? So I guess the webcomic’s over then.

Except, perhaps, Herbert West.
There’s a crossover I’d pay to read!
I really like the backgrounds and the emotion here!
If your grass won’t grow without being watered, you’re growing the wrong kind of grass for your climate/biome.
D’aww! Alice is adorable. Looking for to seeing Patches do more evil henchmen stuff.
The porch of sadness is now one of my favorite characters.
I really like Schtein’s sulky little girl. I hope that she is as smart as she is gloomy.
Awh now I’m itching for them to meet? Will they ever meet? We’ll soon find out… or will we????
And that car is shiny.

Oh, wow. The details are just fabulous, beckey. Aaaaaaa <3
P.S. I just got a cat named Alice. She’s not a goth like this one, but I’m sure with enough nailpolish this can be accomplished.
Or you could get a spiked collar!
I was going to but unfortunately my room and I share the cat and, in the end, she snuck the collar while I was working and I am poor. SHE WILL WIN THIS ROUND….

Secret 3-month marriage in Vegas!

(Ominous mafia car is ominous O__O)

He’s even got the reddish hair like Fagin did!
