I know right?? I’m pretty sure if I hadn’t seen him coloured, with that orange hair, then I couldn’t have come to that conclusion. I would have refenced something from some one eyed character… I can’t think of something clever without Watchmen being in the comment LOL
This is so cute. In a creepy way, actually.
If my uncle would suddenly show up missing an eye, I think wouldn’t stop asking him things about it. Fascinating!
Even though ‘uncle Larry’ looks like a creep, he still acts pretty sweet though.
no, it’s not, it’s a shadow on a different section of the house. I think it is cutting off her finger a bit, though. Probably forgot to erase that bit. Will fix it once it’s in color.
I love the color work you do for this comic, but man, there’s something super awesome about just the black and white pages before color. Maybe I was used to that in the beginning or something.
I think it’s the fact that there’s no colour to describe the backgrounds and people, which is purely skill. and pure skill tickles people pink. I have been tickled.
What’s the big black shiny thing behind the fence in panel 1? A large car? A greenhouse? A bunker? (I’m sure it’s something very obvious that I just don’t get.)
Goodness, I do love your color. Very nice texture in here. Detailgasm. Totally worth the wait. . . And may I just say that scarf is now totally fabulous?
Oo, I like that we got to see this in black-and-white and in color. And can I just say I love her orange shoes? Awesome spot of color in her otherwise dark and emo outfit.
I dig how Alice really looks like her dad, but she also looks a lot like herself…like a teenage girl, I mean. The colors in these two pages are great: They’re bleak but still realistic and eye-catching. Awesome work!
It’s just pirate-chic.
P-pirates are in this year!
Watch out! It’s that one guy!
By day he’s uncle Larry, by night he is… RORSCHACH! No jk, great page! XD
Holy shit, I can totally see that.

First panel, shifty stares, do I know this person, why YES I DO.
The level of detail makes up for it being unfinished, you rock, take it easy :)
But what about Dr. Schtein?!? Gah, the suspense…
Also, I love that crazy Dutch perspective in panel one. Can’t wait for color!
He’s just gonna bleed for a while. ^_^
Yeah but our friendly doctor serial killer pal is gonna fix him up…
Or EAT him…..*perverse thoughts*
Oh. MY. GOD. You just made me think of Armin Meiwes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armin_Meiwes Read and be fascinated.
Holy crap….that was utterly interesting!
But yes…I’m hoping to get some eating action going on….yes… *evil laugh*
Omg you make me feel oddly attracted to this notion. Maybe it’s because of your evil laugh. It must be that.
Yes I am VERY evil!~~ *wink*
Uncle Larry! Y’know, from the 40’s!
Haha- wait. I HAVE an Uncle Larry 8T
But this guy’s cooler. Like, totally.
HE GOT IT AT THE HIPSTER STORE, THAT HIPSTER!
http://thepunchlineismachismo.com/archives/540
:)
I’m not sure linking it to people who got the joke is really, like… necesarry? :D
Let’s give two rounds of applause for redundancy!!
then again, I don’t mind people being linked to an amazing comic in case they hadn’t seen it before.
This is the page that I saw when I was introduced to this comic, and it is the best thing in the world. http://thepunchlineismachismo.com/archives/527
I bet the both got those coats at Goodwill…those hipsters.
Adorable adorable I love this interaction :D
Wait. Isn’t he the one who killed Schtein’s lawyer in the end of chapter 2? O_O
He was there with the corpse of the lawyer. Whether or not he killed him is inconclusive, but he did delete Stein’s message to the lawyer.
She’s kind of got Schtein’s nose, doesn’t she?
This is so cute. In a creepy way, actually.

He’s not necessarily missing an eye. You get an eye-patch during recovery for some pretty minor injuries too.
Yep, but there’s also the stitched scar below. So it’s natural to think something quite major happened there.
Um yes, actually they kind of covered that earlier. He said “SHE GOUGED OUT MY EYE!!!”
Yeah, but he didn’t say that to Alice.
Rachel: yes, that is because of genetics, see page 56.
Tim: earlier – “She gouged out my eye!” That sounds conclusive to me.
I know who she is. I was just commenting on it. You know how some people say “you’ve got your mother’s/father’s eyes”?
Ah. Yes, she totally does, poor kid.
Not really. ;D
The fourth panel or the second to last panel in the comic has an oddity.
The Doc’s kid’s pinky finger’s tip is cut off by this solid black line that seems to have been placed on top of the kid and the house.
It’s the shadow from the pillar/support beam :D
no, it’s not, it’s a shadow on a different section of the house. I think it is cutting off her finger a bit, though. Probably forgot to erase that bit. Will fix it once it’s in color.
And I did fix it! Yay, I remembered! Also part of Laurence’s face in the first panel was cut off and his ear. Hooray for sloppy inking. >:P
That was a good spot for a scene change.
I like you, Larry. I think. I can’t decide if you’re for the Doc or not.
Hahaha YES, very manly artist comment :) And gorgeous line work as always, Beck, that first panel is stellar.
I APPRECIATE YOUR DETAILED BACKGROUND
I DO TOO. WE LOVE YOU BECKEY.
Oh my, the detail in the linework O.O
I love this comic just as much in colour as in black and white :D
I love the color work you do for this comic, but man, there’s something super awesome about just the black and white pages before color. Maybe I was used to that in the beginning or something.

It’s a van, my friend. XD
Haha, deductive reasoning FAIL.
You’re both wrong, it’s a station wagon. WOOOO. I WIN.
He-HEY what no that’s not fair! It’s not a station wagon! There’s no creep with candy luring in a little kid– Oh… Larry… How could you :(
Goodness, I do love your color. Very nice texture in here. Detailgasm. Totally worth the wait. . . And may I just say that scarf is now totally fabulous?
Jeezum, I thought it looked good uncolored, but the way you color, it’s spectacular!
She really does look like her father. I wonder if her hair will turn white as well.
Oh man, this is great colored! Also ew Larry’s nail.
he must have jammed it in a desk drawer or something. Gross.
1. this made me laugh my ass off and 2. I can’t stop checking my nails :(
The color on this is jaw-dropping… Beautiful work.
Oo, I like that we got to see this in black-and-white and in color. And can I just say I love her orange shoes? Awesome spot of color in her otherwise dark and emo outfit.
Red neck scarfs are the coolest thing in the world.
Like.
Yeah.
I dig how Alice really looks like her dad, but she also looks a lot like herself…like a teenage girl, I mean. The colors in these two pages are great: They’re bleak but still realistic and eye-catching. Awesome work!
I totally have an uncle like this guy, only shadier.
UNCLE? Waaaaaaa???
