the neighborhood I grew up in had neither sidewalks nor curbs, we’re lucky it was even paved. streets in my current neighborhood tend to have sidewalks on only one side of the street, sometimes both, but it varies. The reference pictures I’m looking at for here are the same.

We don’t have sidewalks, mostly. Unfortunately, our civil infrastructure is predicated upon having a car.
Some streets have sidewalks and some dont have sidewalks. There is some weird sububan politics involved.
