Really torn up about that dang dog.
Gonna upload a closeup of that first panel to my comic art blog in just a moment.

Damn, that first panel is amazing.
That BITCH! Who does she think she is?! Just let Eric keep that dog, for crying out loud. Mostly because I’m secretly hoping that it’s a small white yapping mutt with a pink collar on so I can see Eric taking ‘Princess’ out for a walk.
Gheez, I should really stop fantasizing over my own ‘side-stories’. XD
Not the dog! And the first panel is very pretty :3
Sooo that is a yes Mr. Rebounding from a nasty divorce? Because I’m assuming becoming a women hating master lording over his harem of men is not an option in this world. X3 Though it does bring amusing images that I now need to bleach from my brain.
Well, that’s a lying face if I ever saw one.
Amazing backgrounds as usual Beck.
Aww, I feel sad for the War Vet…man, I will always love the way you put so much character into your backgrounds.
Geez, don’t mention the divorce or Mr. DeMartino there is gonna pop a gasket.
’cause if you DID, Eric, you are SADLY mistaken in your assumptions!
Down to 27 states, I see.
Fuck that dog.
let’s not
Oak tree is very _impressive_ oak tree.
With every update, I become more and more convinced that String Theory is definitely the BEST webcomic I’ve ever read. The first panel is so great, that I need to know: any plans for publication? And btw, Pacific War? I’m becoming more and more curious about the history of the String Theory world…
yes, someday, in the far future I will try to put a book out. There’s a lot of things I have to do first to get a lot of it printable, though.
Somehow I’m thinking asking SO HOW’S THAT DIVORCE GOING isn’t technically a polite conversation starter…
Haha. The first panel is gorgeous, of course, but I’m really loving Eric’s expressions throughout the lower panels.
Later it turns out the dog is secretly superintelligent, and is actively trying to sabotage Eric’s divorce to gain access to Schtein’s teleporation research so it can take over the world.
It and Marcus become the new main characters.
So, what does that sign at the top say? I see “The government is lying to you” in the first line but can’t really read the rest of it.
OK, I zoomed in and it looks like “The breaks for corporations/ Are -something-ing all of us”
it’s not that important, but there’s a link in the description under the page to my tumblr where I have uploaded a much larger version of that panel.
Aha. I was wondering how everyone was reading those. Did they invent, like, super zoom eyes or something? This makes much more sense
“The government is lying to you/tax breaks for the corporations/are robbing all of us”
and to the left “one day the poor will have nothing left to eat but the rich”
And on the pole ‘still standing / 70th anniversary” with a flag with 28 (?) stars
it’s 27
Ah sorry, this is embarrassing since I count for a living :)
There’s a book out a while ago: “Eat the rich”… Of course, since the poor outnumber the rich by a large margin, it’s only going to put off starvation a very short while.
Well .. I tried the comic because it was suggested by a work friend. I Love it. Keep up the good work.
The amount of detail is, as always, staggering.
Is Eric being portrayed as sympathetic at all?I can’t tell because I think he should suffer.
But, I love how you made me come to adore Delia as a character when before I used to really dislike her because she broke up a marriage. She redeemed herself through her interactions with Schtein and her independence/attitude.
Even though the adultery was a two-part deal, Eric hasn’t really done much to redeem himself. He still seems desperate. Therefore, he’s also taking the woman’s “designated role” in cliche TV show affairs, which is a nice place for him (justified suffering!) and makes Delia the emotionally stronger one here.
I don’t know what my point is anymore I just have an intense hatred of all adulterers and co. so the characterization of these two are really nice.
Is the country at war in this comic? it seemed like those were propaganda posters in the last page
