There’s this legend of three hags who have one eye, one tooth and one ear for them all, that they pass to whichever of them need it the most at a given moment. Larry and Herv are like this, but for common sense.
oh, your details are always so superb! I just love the bricks on the house, the shadows, and the sense of a more ordinary day than many for these guys–however short it might be
Hehe, good old hillbilly, dialects. From the north to the south, east and west and state and county lines. There is just some things you just gotta be local to or know the locals of.
I usually hear it said as “You beat all”, but the change was so minor I didn’t even register it until the comment brought the fact it’s a fairly localized colloquialism to my attention and I actually stopped to think on it. And people tell me I don’t sound like I’m from Texas.
yeah we say that “you beat all” version too, but I am also from texas. It’s kind of a weird phrase you never heard it I guess, since it doesn’t make the most sense. it SOUNDS like a good thing, but it is not
I love the fact he has sensitization products with him XD. Is this an old habit for him to carry it around or did he not get over touching unclean things after his visit with Opa?
So just to clarify Opas completion of the experiments worked on the dock allowing him to not have such a severe reaction to un-sanetized objects and it now just a severely strong old habit. Also is he able to see in color now or is it still black and white / gray spectrum?
I think it’s a matter of preference. If at all possible, he’ll still have some at hand. He also still wears gloves most of the time.
Maybe his hands have little less rash now for not washing them so compulsively all the time, though this sort of compulsive behaviour habit may come back later in life especially with stress.
Yeah I think it about time for them to take a break of each other for a bit.
And that last panel sums up my love for this comic perfectly.
Condescending and distant?
If there was a t-shirt of Sunny Clean moist towelettes, I’d buy one in a heartbeat!
Hahahaha that caption made me wheeze-laugh like a grandpa
Daaang. I don’t envy Laurence with that face-road-rash. That’s gonna take weeks to scab up and heal.

Thanks! google streetview is the best thing for artists anyone ever invented, basically, so easy to get references for locales now
Hahaha, Schtein, you bitch :)
I’m kind of slow so go easy on me, but I don’t get what Doc means by “You beat everything”. Someone smart help pls
it’s sarcasm and a very specific reference to a thing my hillbilly ass loves

he’ll never get over it. not any time soon anyway

opa’s work wouldn’t have undone a lifetime of phobias, and it doesn’t effect how he sees. still a germaphobe, still can’t see color

Schtein… what confidence… so badass… even with the inventory of a mother…
