Chp6 Page 27
there really are mushrooms that ooze red liquid because nature is amazingly horrible. At least they don’t smell like rotting flesh like some OTHER mushrooms I could name.

“My only grandson”?
I suppose he should count himself lucky he was an only child…
But that only means he was the only *male* child.
Yeah, his sister died,
GOD I love all the glowing effects on this page. Beautiful work.
Oh no.. we gots us some MIND CONTROL goin on here @_@ FIGHT IT HERV
oh christ OH CHRIST
Hhhrrfff I know he’s going to do it but I don’t want him to D:
Doc Don’t dooo iiitttttt ): (Or maybe he does it to the rat instead??) sdjghsjfkgbv
There are proper mushrooms that ooze red liquid as well:

Freaky stuff.
Oh wow. I love how the Doc’s mannerisms have changed now that he’s around his Opa. Before he was very much the loud smart-ass, but in this page he looks and acts like the under spoken, wounded child he was when his grandpa was originally experimenting on him.
“Harm” for a very specific range of actions, that doesn’t count brainwashing, fiddling with your nervous system, and forcing you do do things you don’t want to do. Opa, Opa, what are you up to?
He’s not holding a cigarette anymore, but his hands are glowing in the second to last panel (9/10) – touch of death or something?
Awww. They have matching glowing eyes. Also, is it just me, or are Herville’s hands glowing the in second to last panel? That can’t be good
I love this comic. In my personal opinion it reads more like a novel put into comic form than anything else, which I really enjoy because this displays far more story depth than any comic I have read so far. Also, the art is AMAZING. I am pretty much incapable of making art, let alone art at such a high quality. Awesome work, I hope you keep doing it! Oh and I don’t know about anyone else, but putting a couple of banner advertisements at the bottom or on the sides beside the comments wouldn’t bother me, and you would probably make a fair bit of money for almost no effort.
Terrifying! In the last panel I definitely heard the Discworld Death’s voice.
You mean DEATH
LOL. yes!
Those hands in panel 6 are lovely.
Hmm my moneys on him getting some sort of new super powerish type thing. Telekenesis maybe? We know it can be done…and why wouldnt Oppa stein want to favour his favourite grandson with awesome abilities?
I doubt telekenesis only because it a very common power to give to super powered characters. As well as flight and super strength.
I’d bet he finds out that his oppa tried to fix his hands from having the same ailment he has and he ended up with something that enhances his genius intellect in someway.
Is that rat in the first panel really huge, or just up on a ledge at eye level?
Hahaha, It threw me for a second, too :3 its crawling across a pipe in the foreground :)
Panel 7 is amazing because it has this intense expression plus a bow tie.
I liked panel 6 more
This is so exciting, I’m in anticipation now
Is there some correlation to the red glowing hands and this, I wonder?
http://www.stringtheorycomic.com/comics/chapter-six/chp6-page-16/
…COULD BE.
I really don’t think his hands are glowing so much as that’s light from his eyes. We’ve seen that before: http://www.stringtheorycomic.com/comics/chaptertwo/page-fortyfour/
It’s from the wrong direction, though; most of the light on his hands is either sourced from them or coming from right below them in the current panel. It’s even bright enough to reflect off of his chin.
I’m hoping for something unexpectedly benevolent: Opa used his bio-engineering prowess to bestow the gift of red-glowy healing to Doc’s hands. He’s actually gonna just take care of Annie and John’s wounds. The ominous foreshadowing is just Opa’s twisted sense of humor.
Also, why are Opa’s eyes glowing? That can’t be a good sign. Definitely is a big warning sign (if his skin coloring touched on earlier didn’t raise the flags) that something isn’t right with him.
