Did Dr. Sctein take his pills? Are there really monsters in the city? Does Doc keep his cool leather jacket??!??
*accidental cliffhangers* *dramatic suspense noise here*
But I just can’t get over how beautiful these pages are, Beckey. I am so deeply in love.
I dream of the day I can get my hands on this in print.
Is it just me or there’s a line from the other guy (whose name I forgot) missing? I don’t get the “no” in the at the beginning of dialogue of the fourth panel. I get the feeling that there was another line from the other guy (like “really?”) that was later taken away.
As for the art, I think you just bested yourself again! I have complimented many-a-page before, but this is great, I love the palette (especially the palette), the characters, the inking, their clothes, the expressions, the nested panels, the backgrounds, the entire page. And the glowing lights.
Man, Doc needs to look at the more adventurous side of life!
If there was a city out there with real monsters I’d be all up in that with my rifle, some camping gear and a couple of well-armed friends to bag us some mutants!
Your coloring has always been a real treat, but it especially shines on this page. Even without the dialogue it gives a thorough sense of creepiness and tension.
Maybe we’ll finally get a straight answer on how the U.S went to hell in a hand-basket…
I mean, yes, plague. yes, possibly coincidence mutant fungus. But why? What was the government attempting to control THIS time, and how did the public pay for it?
…This isn’t going to be one of those “Unsupervised hand are the devil’s workshop” kind of deals, is it?
This comic is truly becoming incredible. The vast improvements you’ve made in color and style continually amaze me with each new page, and the story is told neatly, yet jarringly, at the same time? It’s difficult to explain, but we keep getting pieces and chunks of the story that feel (at least I hope) like they will slowly build until they all come together someday. It’s definitely the sort of thing I continue to look forward to.
It’s a really cool world you’ve built, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it. I can’t help but feel like it would make a really cool setting for a tabletop RPG. :)
Anyway, on to much more important matters…like this pills cliffhanger. It’s too much. GAAAWD DID YOU TAKE THEM OR NOT. ANSWER HIM.
Schtein looks so badass with that leather jacket.
Especially in the third panel. Tough guy.
Now we have to wait a whole week to know if he took those pills or not D:
that’s the dumbest accidental cliffhanger ever!
He’ll frighten the monsters off with his eyes.

we hope you took those pills, doc, because they were…
chill pills :o
I like how Schtein’s eyes glow redder when he’s angry. Does that happen every time? I hope so. :D

I’m gonna guess that he didn’t take the pills. Great job as usual comrade.
Im stuck at the 2nd panel… has this comic degraded itself to making hand farts again?
I don’t know if I would take those pills.Especially when someone asks me to looking like that.
Yes, NOW we’re really getting somewhere. I’m excited about this.

The flaming panel is my favourite XD
Looks like we’re going to hit the scifi stuff pretty hard now, big contrast to the prison drama perhaps

what a strangely hostile comment. Straight answers are boring, man, vague mind games forever, woooo

Hahaha aw, first thank you, second, I’m almost done with the next page, should be up tomorrow morning sometime.
