Page Ten
Hahah oh, panel five, you are so silly looking. Also, I hope someone appreciates that I spent ten minutes looking up scab pictures on google so his elbow scab would look correct.

I was totally going to comment on how awesome that scab on his elbow looks before I even read that.
Your research paid off like whoooa.
Oh Schtein, you’re very charming in your completely uncharming way.
Poor JayJay.
Hello panel seven. Thanks to your efforts, I will now be calling Jayjay “Dumpling”.
god i love how casual he makes it sound
Between the hair and the sideburns, prison is shaping Schtein into quite the stud muffin.
Agreed. Loving the chops.
I was just thinking that Schtein looks unusually studly this page. XD
How are you so amazing at drawing perspectives jeez.
Heheh the shine on Jayjay’s glasses in the final panel :)
I imagine the sound effect for that would be ‘SHING’
You are watching wrong kind of animes.
I know because I do.
I haven’t watched an anime and years :(
Oh my God, Schtein’s pose in panel five. It’s glorious.
what scab
:(
Panel 3.
Is freaking gorgeous.
GORGEOUS.
Wallpaper?……??
Schtein looks strangely… detached/exhausted. I like his poses and dialogue placement and everything. That vaguely inebriated, melancholy set of his eyes has me wondering though.
And agreeing with Smeg, quite the stud muffin.
I thing that some this time in prison is a good thing for him. It’s allow him to see things from a new perspective. Schtein doesn’t look the kind of guy to turn to god during his time in prison but he looks like he could exit from here with new priorities.
Schtein’s darling schoolgirl face in the fifth panel is wonderful. Also, Jayjay’s pudge is not only a nice touch (so many comics only ever have one body type portrayed in them) but kind of endearing. Did he put on weight or did I just not notice?
he’s always been a big guy. He might be getting a bit bigger. Perhaps he’s picked up the weight that Schtein’s lost.
Honestly, I always got the impression JJ was rather skinny. Up until panels 7 and 8, that is.
Also, I can barely see the scab. Since it’s a cutoff part of the only panel where the elbow’s shown unobscured.

really not sure how you got the impression that he was skinny. Been drawing him rather large and kind mooby since the first time he showed up. :D
And yeah, totally not worth the time I spent lookin’ up scabs, but hey. Perhaps good information for future reference.
Hopefully it’ll be Schtein who’ll leave the scabs on someone else! You can never have too many references.
Didn’t mean to sound like I was giving you a hard time, but the first appearance of the scab looks like shading.
hahah don’t worry about it, man.
First time commenting after finding this site about a week ago and going on a compulsory first archive binge, and I gotta say, this comic is AWESOME SAUCE IN A BOX WITH PACKING MATERIALS. I especially love the obvious attention you pay to the EPIC expressions and background details. The whole comic just fills me with happy.
P. S. – You spent TEN minutes looking at scab picture references? I can not possibly imagine the horrors you must have played witness to.
It was awful. Most of the results weren’t even pictures of scabs, but like… horrible medical maladies that I guess involve scabs?
Actually, the grossest pictures always turned out to be people testing fake makeup gore, hahah.
Yikes! Well, the end result is a boss comic and is deeply apreciated. Awesome work!
We definitely appreciate it :P Poor Jayjay.
Love the doc’s face in panel 5, by the way. He’s gotten so much more… expressive since his imprisonment :)
P. S. S. – Also love the amazing character devlopment; each character is well rounded and reacts realistically to developments in the story.
I don’t know if you did do you research on electroshock devices, but it actually looks accurate inside. The way to get a shocking voltage out of a battery is with inductive coils, which I see in there.
I appreciate the scab accuracy :) Also loving the expressions as usual <3
D’awwwwwww he looks so cute.
okay, pannel 3, he is so hot! even with that nose, i love him! <3
I adore everything about the second panel, especially the body language. Also, toilet paper? :D
I was just about to say that my favorite part of this page was Schtein’s scab in panel 5 because it looked so realistic, and then I saw that comment.
Ohmaigosh! I just saw how amazing Schtein’s gloves look in panel 3! :D
I second this motion of awesome gloved-ness.
Scabs are fun to pluck and taste funny. Also, I really like his concentrated look on panel three.
OMFG I love Schtein’s sideburns!
They fill me with happiness
That Scab is looking pretty boss, I tell you. So boss it deserves a capital S.
I appreciate your dedication to accuracy. I love that scab. It’s now my favorite scab. Not that…I have….favorite….scabs. You know what? I’m just gonna go now.
I think I’ve fallen in love with Schtein in the third panel.
You looked up pictures?! Blasphemy. The only way to properly draw a scab is from /life/. Next time, I fully expect you to injure yourself in the name of your art!
Awesome sauce!
Schtein’s got the looks, now I just gotta wait for him to sing rubber biscuit.
Love the dreamy atmosphere. The face in panel 5 really says: tralalala, makin’ a shocking device to zap the nazis, it will be so fun
I third Camo54’s notion of awesome gloved-ness.
Got distracted by sideburns at first
Awwwww, JayJay. :C Poor guy.
I might just be paranoid, but after reading a handful of the later comments, I think some people are stealing my terminology.
Panel five is hillrious… :)
I think I’m in love with panels 2 and 3. Can’t say what it is about them I love, just that I do.
Love his expression in the fifth panel xD
I APPRECIATE THE SCAB.
Also, panel 2 is really, really nicely done. The light is just lovely.
